Checking out before 7am / Payments
Reception is open daily from 7am. If you're leaving earlier than 7am - please settle any charges before our receptions closing time of 9pm, the night prior. This might be meals or drinks that you've charged to your room for later payment.

We've become very popular as a local for our city residents, so please make a reservation by phoning reception ‘0’ especially if you intend to dine at peak times of 6pm to 7pm. We cannot guarantee your dining without a reservation. Please contact Reception by phoning '0' or call at reception to make a booking.
Wakeup Calls
You can dial 804 from your phone and you'll be prompted to set up your wake up call. It goes like this:
“Welcome to the wakeup call configuration menu. To setup your wakeup call for later on today, press 1, to setup your wakeup call for tomorrow, press 2. For any other day, press 3.” It then asks for the time to be entered in 24 hour format.
Then at the time entered, you will receive an automatic call that says
“Hello, this is your wakeup call. Thanks for staying with us at the Kingsgate hotel.”
Airline Flight and Airport Information
Wanganui Airport is located 10km from the hotel, with Air New Zealand the main carrier into Wanganui. Palmerston North Airport is also a popular option, less than 1 hour’s drive from the hotel.
Air Chathams is our local flight service from the river city and they're locally focussed with excellent service providing a 1hr flight time to Auckland.
Banks
All the major banks are in the Central Business District, approximately 5 minutes drive away. The nearest ATM machines are at the three nearby supermarkets.

Car Rental
All major car rentals (Avis, Budget, Hertz, Rent a Dent) have depots located in Wanganui. Please contact reception if assistance is required.

There may be times where we can offer an early check in, but this will only be possible at the management’s discretion.If you require a later check out time, please dial 0 to contact reception. There may be a late check out fee of $50.00.

We have a range of facilities available, catering from a small informal gathering to a 200-person conference. Our professional and personalised service will assist you with all your requirements. Out catering options are also available.

Emergency procedures
On the sound of the alarm bells, all rooms must be vacated immediately, and guests will be asked to assemble at the
main car park at the front of the hotel. All rooms will be checked and secured by our Fire Wardens.
Guest Laundry
We offer laundry service 7 days a week. A self-service laundry is located at the rear left of the grounds. The automatic washing machine is complimentary; however, we do not have a dryer. There are designated areas to hang washing with pegs available. If you’d like a laundromat, please talk to us at reception as this is 300m away.
Washing powder is available at the kingsgate hotel reception for $1.00.
Hairdryers
Hairdryers are kept in the drawer in your room. A fee will be charged if unreturned.
Housekeeping and Maintenance
For assistance with room amenities, linen or maintenance, please phone reception.
Lost Property
Any property lost or found, please contact reception as soon as possible.
Lunches
We offer a range of packed/picnic lunches. Please complete the form in this compendium and leave it at the Kingsgate reception by 8.00pm the night before.

The menu is available online at mothershipbeer.com. It is a full menu with an extensive range of options. We are renowned for excellent prepared and presented food. We've won the NZ Beef and Lamb awards annually for in excess of 13 yrs.
Mothership is a small batch craft brewed beer that is brewed on site in our large commercial kitchen. Carl is the Head Brewer and joint owner of the Hotel complex. See the beer descriptions and what is on tap at mothershipbeer.com the bar is generally open from 3:30 to 4pm. We have become very popular as a local for our city residences so please book by phoning reception ‘0’ our peak dining times are 6pm to 7pm. We cannot guarantee your dining without a reservation. We have 18 taps of our craft beer.
